All four compulsory plus a further four elective courses must be completed (eight courses in total).

Compulsory Foundations Courses (all four must be completed):

2. Advice Process I - Consultative Selling Skills
3. Advice Process II - Client Needs Analysis
4. Advice Process III - Presenting the Client Solution

Alternatively, experienced advisers (5 out of the last 8 years working as a financial adviser) are eligible to complete all four of the compulsory foundation courses via a single FastTrack programme, which includes assessment of current competence, a three day workshop, and self directed learning both prior and post workshop skills training and assessment.

Alternatively, the certificate can be endorsed in either investment or insurance by completing one of the two following elective strands (please note: the compulsory foundation courses must also be completed to attain the full certificate):
